In the present work, an energy-dependent semi-empirical fragmentation model incorporating major improemenvts is reported.

These improemenvts in-clude (1) incorporating an explicit dependence on in-cident projectile kinetic energy through the use of an energy-dependent mean free path in the abrasion step, (2) replacing the simple parameterization for. energy avyhe ions by the ombinecd nuclear and oulombc elds of the interacting nuclei ear esentepr.d The nuclear akupebr ontributionsc ear estimated with an abrasion-ablation model of avyhe ion ag-fr.

The nuclear breakup contributions are estimated with an abrasion-ablation model of heavy ion fragmentation that includes an energy-dependent, mean free path.
